At Televerde Foundation, we believe in second chances and the power of opportunity. That belief came to life during our recent Career Conversations event, held in partnership with the team at Gong. Together, we created a space where real connections and career insight came together to support women rebuilding their lives.
Exploring What’s Possible
This wasn’t a typical career workshop. It was built on real conversations between people ready to learn and professionals willing to share their journeys. Women preparing for reentry and Gong volunteers came together to explore career paths and build connections that will grow beyond the event.
Before the event, the participants chose two career areas they were interested in. During breakout sessions, Gong volunteers shared their own stories—how they started, what their day-to-day looks like, what they’ve learned, and what advice they’d offer. These weren’t speeches—they were honest, open conversations.
One Gong volunteer, Heather Wright, shared:
“I was completely inspired by the resilience of these women! The leaders of this organization are top-notch. I was wowed at the curriculum and the skills they are teaching. College degrees often don’t teach as much—it was such a privilege to be part of this event.”
More Than Jobs—It’s About Empowerment
Career Conversations opens career paths while it builds confidence, offers perspective, and helps people see their potential through the insight of professionals who have been there.
At the Televerde Foundation our mission is to help currently and formerly incarcerated women prepare for careers and stable futures. This work is made possible by the partnerships had with mission-aligned organizations and people who believe in the power of second chances. Events like this show what’s possible when professionals, volunteers, and justice-impacted individuals come together.

Partnership with Purpose

This event wasn’t just about career advice. It was a shared effort to support women building new lives, and a reminder of the impact we can make when we work together.
